This was a commissioned painting.

I grew up in a time when most of the images of Black men on TV were negative.  I have decided, that in my creative power when I have the opportunity to do a painting showing a black man doing something positive, I will go for it! This painting, "Father’s Day," depicts a young man spending time to get his little girl's hair ready before he gets her off to school. He exhibits tenderness and love. I decided to use soft, primary colors to show her pre-school age.
