With this painting, I wanted to capture the full spirit of Jill. Her big, beautiful personality, gorgeous smile, pearly-white teeth, and hair, match her energy; Nothing about her is boxed-in. I painted the tufts of hair off the canvas to reflect her lack of restraint in song and life. Her eyes are captivating as are her rosy cheeks. All of these elements blend on the canvas to fully express the persona of Ms. Jill Scott.
