I painted Malcolm in black and white, but with purple curtains in the background to signify his Spirituality, mystery, and his call for justice. His desire for all of us to be better and live in a better Nation, “By Any Means Necessary,” has stayed with me since I was a child. So, I had to honor him with a painting.
